Dr. Shahzad Nawaz Syed is an accomplished biomedical scientist and research leader with over 20 years of international experience spanning immunology, inflammation, cancer biology, and translational medicine. His career includes leadership roles in globally renowned institutions across Germany, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Over the years, he has successfully led groundbreaking research initiatives, mentored multidisciplinary teams, and delivered critical contributions to immune regulation, tumor microenvironments, and medical technology innovation.

Dr. Syed combines extensive pre-clinical expertise, scientific innovation, and a strategic vision for advancing biomedical research. Leadership & Experience

Dr. Syed’s career as a leader began with his role as a Principal Investigator at Goethe University in Germany (2015–2023), where he directed research focused on the role of microRNAs in cancer and inflammation. In this capacity, he supervised PhD and Master’s students while managing technical teams, ultimately delivering significant findings in pre-clinical research. From 2013 to 2023, he also served as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Goethe University, investigating the role of sphingolipid metabolism in inflammation and tumor biology.

Prior to this, he spent two years at McMaster University in Canada as a Postdoctoral Research Lead, where his work explored mucosal immune responses in colorectal cancer and the behavior of intestinal stem cells during inflammation. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Syed gained substantial experience in the medical technology industry as a Senior Scientist at Meta Research International in the United Kingdom (2010–2014), contributing to the development of innovative pre-clinical devices for ischemic pre-conditioning. His foundation in research leadership was built during his tenure as a PhD Research Fellow at Hannover Medical School in Germany, where he published pioneering work on macrophage activation and autoimmune inflammation mechanisms.

Anambasri holds a Master of Computer Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from Indian University, reflecting her multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving. Her technical repertoire includes proficiency in Java programming, Oracle databases, and web technologies, which she leverages to deliver comprehensive and efficient IT solutions. She is also Finance and Accounting Lead. She presents a unique blend of IT and Commerce, which is indispensable for Etanios Research.
